Volunteer and make a difference to our seafront

Welcome Team

Our volunteer Welcome Team are stationed on the

seafront from Easter to September, around The Pier and

Bandstand, and in the summer months Treasure Island.

They welcome, give information, chat and signpost visitors

and locals. Training and support  are given, and the uniform,

a smart blue jacket and polo shirt is provided.

We ask for a commitment of two hours a week.  It's a great

way to make friends, spend a few hours outside and to

learn about the seafront. The role suitable for all abilities and ages.

If you have great ideas and can organise or help organise events or have a fundraising background please get in touch. All funds are used to improve the seafront.

Gardening Team

Our Volunteer Gardening Team regularly care for and

maintain flower beds and borders along the seafront,

including  the Bandstand, the RNLI flower beds, the children's

cycle track and the Splashpoint boat as well as other areas .

We work as a team and in Spring/Summer meet on a weekly

basis to weed, plant and maintain the flower  beds and borders.

We supply the tools, but ask you to bring gardening gloves.

We compliment the work of the Councils contractors and

do not replace them.
