Seafront Trail

Whether you live in Eastbourne, are just visiting for the day, or staying a little longer - have you ever wondered about all the amazing places along Eastbourne's beautiful seafront?

Get ready to follow this exciting trail along the 3.5 mile promenade. You can start at any point, or you can complete the trail in two sections by starting at the Pier and going West towards Holywell; or by going East towards
Langney Point. There's so much to see and discover!

This trail was designed for families with children from ages 5 to 12, but big kids/adults will probably find it a fun thing to do also!
Following the trail, you will find all the special places by using the map with the numbers and names of all the places. For some of the places, there are questions - answer them by looking carefully around, asking people nearby, or even doing a little online detective work. When you've found all the places, there is a further challenge on the back cover of the leaflet, a few questions to work out the code to finish the Seafront Trail!

When you've finished, you can check your answers and the code by clicking the link on this page, and you can download a certificate if you get the code correct.

To get started, pick up the free Seafront Trail leaflet from one of the Welcome Team volunteers who you will find along the seafront, seven days per week between 10am and 4pm.
